Robert J. Burns, 59, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026, at HIA Heather’s House, Fargo, ND. Robert was born December 29, 1966, to Basil and Brenda Burns. He grew up in Montreal, Ontario, Canada. Following high school, he followed his passion with working computers and became a database engineer. Over the years, Robert worked at Aimbridge Hospitality, TM Hospitality, Microsoft and recently KLJ Engineering. In 2014, Robert married Mary Gullickson. Together they made their home in Moorhead where they have since resided. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, playing games with his sons, Formula1 racing, rock music and hockey. He will be greatly missed.

Robert is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, André and Ethan; mother, Brenda and his sisters.

He was preceded in death by his father, Basil.
