Ruth Bekkerus

Ruth Jane Bekkerus, age 99, of Moorhead, MN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.
Jane admired everything about life; from traveling throughout the Midwest to starting a family of her own. In her free time she enjoyed going up north to the family cabin, reading devotionals, watching films, and learning about her own family history. Genealogy had been a long time passion of Jane’s and kept her very busy. Most of all she loved being around family and friends.
Jane left behind a remarkable imprint that will be cherished and missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harold “Bek” Bekkerus; beloved son, Theodore “Teddy”; brothers, Jim and Bill Preston; and sister, Molly B. Flood.
She is survived by sister Mary Gwynn John; Judy Bekkerus; three grandchildren Bonnie Bekkerus Steve Brenda Cole Donnie, and Beth LaCoursiere Joe; seven great-grandchildren,Tasha JasonAlyce, JoJo Devante, Atom, Alexa, Ana and Sarenna; three great-great grandchildren, Audrey, Jacob and Amelia; and many loved ones.

Visitation will be Monday, July 10, from 10 – 11 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m., in Scandia Lutheran Church, Averill, MN.
