Sandra Lee “Sandy” Franklin

Sandra “Sandy” Lee (Newton) Franklin, 73, of Wright, MN, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Duluth, MN.

Sandy was born on May 24, 1948, to Jim and Dorothy (Witt) Newton in Glyndon, MN. She grew up in Glyndon where she graduated from High School. She lived in various places across the United States and spent some time in Mexico. She met Keven Franklin in Cloquet, MN, and they were eventually united in marriage on September 13, 2008, and together they settled in Wright, MN. She worked various jobs throughout her life, her favorite being the Chief Corner Store in Ponsford, MN.

Sandy was very well liked by all who knew her, and many considered her a close friend. She was an avid, avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Keven; special pets, Zach and Katy; adopted daughter, Rachel (Phil) Jutz; Rachel’s children, Carissa, Jordan, Kylie, Lysa, Elise, Ava, and Josie; adopted granddaughter, RyLann; brother, Brad (Maureen) Netwon; and many other living relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Dorothy; and aunt, Nannie.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN, at 10:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
