Shirley Wear, 88, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Eventide on 8th, Moorhead, MN. Shirley was born October 17, 1937, in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Clarence and Eleanora Illg. She grew up on the family farm near Frazee, MN. Shirley moved to Glyndon, MN, in the 60’s, where she operated the Glyndon Beauty Shop. In 1967 she married Warren Wear. They made their home on the farm in rural Glyndon until they retired and moved to Detroit Lakes, MN. Shirley and Warren also lived in Phoenix, AZ in the winters, for several years. Most recently, she made her home at Eventide on 8th in Moorhead. Shirley will be remembered for how she loved to have fun and the countless adventures she experienced with Warren, her family, and many friends. She also treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In memory of Shirley, memorials may be directed to HIA hospice.

A private family service for Shirley will be held at a later date.
