Susan Marie Hallford, 57, of Fargo, ND passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Sanford Hospice House, Fargo, ND.
Susan was born in Moorhead, MN on January 28, 1966, to John and Yvonne (Brunelle) Barsgard. She grew up in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1984.
Susan began working in the print shop at Dakota Hospital in Fargo, ND where she spent her entire career, eventually ending up in bill processing with Sanford Health. Susan met Scott Hallford through mutual friends, and they were married on September 24, 2016, in Fargo.
Susan loved shopping and spending time at the lake. A relaxing pontoon ride was one of her favorite ways to spend the afternoon. Most of all she loved spending time with family and being an aunt and great aunt. She also cherished the time she spent with her dog, Sophie.
She is survived by her husband, Scott; mom, Yvonne Barsgard; brother, Greg (Julie) Barsgard; father-in-law, Perry (Keryl) Hallford; step-father-in-law, George Coker; brother-in-law, Matthew (Melissa) Hallford; sister-in-law, Jessica (Derek) Yaklin; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Barsgard; grandparents, Sanford and Edith Barsgard, and Marcel and Agnes Brunelle; and mother-in-law, Carolyn Coker.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 5-7 PM with a prayer service starting at 7:00 at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
A funeral service with Livestream will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour before the service at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
