Suzanne Jean Rea

Suzanne Jean Rea, 61, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at her home, under the loving care of CCRI and HIA Hospice.

Sue was born April 10, 1964, in Moorhead, MN, to Donald and Lyla (Boyer) Rea. She grew up in rural Glyndon, MN and attended school in Moorhead. At the age of 21 she entered residential housing with CCRI where she received excellent care until her passing.

Sue was known for her amazing sense of humor, infectious laugh, and ability to make new friends. Sue communicated volumes through her famous side eye, smiles and laughs. She enjoyed animals, hanging out with friends, trains, watching movies in her chair, and doing puzzles. Sue became family to those who worked with her. She taught patience, compassion and the beauty of everyday joy. She will be greatly missed by her CCRI family and those who had the pleasure of supporting her.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Lyla Rea. She is survived by many cousins on both sides of her family, and all her caretakers and friends at CCRI that became family to her.

Sue’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at CCRI for their loving, long-term care over the years, and to HIA Hospice for their compassionate care in her final days.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN.
