Thelma Flatland-Herbold

Thelma Flatland – Herbold, 91, of Moorhead, died Thursday August 5, 2004, at Moorhead Health Care Center, Moorhead, MN.Thelma was born December 8, 1912 to James Sullivan Foster and Mary Lucy Smallwood in New Bloomsfield, Missouri. Thelma married Norris Flatland in 1943 and lived in Williams MN from 1945 to 1984 when Norris passed away. Thelma moved to Moorhead in 1984 to be closer to daughter Iris Flatland. Thelma was married to Julius Herbold from 1987 to 1989 when he passed away. She lived at the Fairmont from 1990 – 1996, and has lived at Moorhead Health Care Center since 1996.She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fargo. Family and friends say Thelma had a strong faith in God, and loved to participate in life to the fullest. She will be missed dearly.She is survived by two sisters; Dorothy Hackworth, MO, Geraldine Terrel, AR, three grandchildren; Jeff Schubert, MT, Kimberly and husband Kevin Huseman, AK, six great-grandchildren; Amanda and husband Bristol Beaujean, Kendall and wife Moriah Huseman, Jason, and Jennifer Huseman all from AK, numerous nieces and nephews.Daughter; Iris Flatland, four brothers; Charles, Samuel, William, and James Foster, one sister; Hallie Harr, precede her in death.Memorials preferred or donations to the Parkinson's Foundation in lieu of flowers.
