Thomas L. Miller

Thomas L. Miller, 77, died at home on Sunday, February 28, 2021. He was born January 22, 1944 at Breckenridge, MN, the son of Herbert and Anna (Vetter) Miller. He attended St. Mary’s grade school and graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1962. He earned his Associate of Science in Business from Golden West College, Westminster, CA, in 1974 and his Bachelor of Science in Business from Minnesota State University, Moorhead, in 1978.

On July 3, 1963 he married Louise Manock. They lived in Long Beach, Westminster, and Lancaster, CA, before settling in Moorhead, MN. Thomas enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1962 and served until 1966. He was a life member of the VFW Post 1223, Moorhead, and was a member and a Past Commander of American Legion Post 2, Fargo, ND.

Mr. Miller was a life long civil servant, employed by the Department of Defense and the Federal Aviation Administration until his retirement in 2007. He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Charles) Sullivan, Fargo, ND; son, Richard (Christine) Miller, Blackstone, MA; three grandchildren, Michael Sullivan, Matthew Sullivan and Alison Miller; sisters, Francis (Ken) Byrum, Bend, OR, Paula Miller, Tacoma, WA; and sister-in-law, Myrna Miller, Priest River, IA.

Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Louise; parents, Anna and Herbert Miller; sisters, Betty Jones and Maxine Manock; and brothers, Robert Miller and Eugene Miller.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 13, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. CT (1-2 P.M. ET), at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.

Funeral will be Saturday, March 13, at 1:00 p.m CT (2 P.M. ET), at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.

Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.

A livestream of the service will be available for those not able to attend.
