Timothy "Tim" J. Simonson, 67, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, North Dakota.
Tim was born on January 6, 1959, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to R. Paul and Bonnie Simonson. During his childhood, his family lived in several places before settling in Fargo, where he graduated from Fargo North High School in 1977. Following graduation, Tim attended a vocational tech school in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He later spent a year living in Africa, an experience that became a memorable chapter of his life.
Tim met the love of his life, Pauline Anderson, and the two were married on July 21, 1989. They made their home in Moorhead, where they shared 22 wonderful years together before Pauline's passing in 2011.
Throughout his life, Tim worked a variety of jobs. In his free time, he loved riding his bike and could often be found exploring the Fargo Moorhead area on two wheels. Tim will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the many jokes he would make.
Tim is survived by his mother, Bonnie Simonson; his siblings, Mark (Trish) Simonson, John (Marty) Simonson, Mary (Wendell) Prim, his brother-in-law, Tom Greene; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Simonson; his father, R. Paul Simonson; his brother, Tom Simonson; and his sister, Sarah Greene.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 10:00am with memorial service to follow at 11:00am at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
