Valentina "Tina" Marie (Nosal) Garrison

January 18, 1935 - December 10, 2025

Tina was born January 18, 1935, in Barnesville, MN, to Joseph and Mary (Setlock) Nosal. She grew up and attended school in Barnesville. She was raised and worked on the family farm with her brother, sisters and her parents. Her first job away from home was at the Red Owl Grocery Store. On October 10, 1956, Tina married Loren Garrison at Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville. Together they made their home in Moorhead and started a family. After the children were raised, she worked at MSUM in food service for over 30 years until retiring. She enjoyed ceramics and sewing and sharing life with her husband Loren until his passing in 2021.

Tina is survived by her children, Laurel (David) Garland, Tom (Joy) Garrison, Stacy (William) Feist; grandchildren, Abigail Feist and Nicholas Videen; step-grandchildren, Ryan (Cindy) Jongejeugd, Kris Jongejeugd, Nicole (Bret) Lovro; and sister-in-law, Shirleen Thorton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; eight sisters and one brother: Michael "Sonny" Nosal, Cecelia (Leonard) Holland, Annie (Dallas) Lammers, Josie (Dick) Lamb, Lucy (Dick) Mosca, Leona (Carmen) Peterson, Mary (Allen) Mathison, Clara "Tootsie" (Milton) Holland, and twin sister, Amelia Nosal.

Tina passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Riverfront on Main Senior Living in Pelican Rapids, MN. She was surrounded by her daughter and granddaughter and the beloved staff at Riverfront on Main where she loved everyone and spoke very highly of the staff who made her final days exceptional.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 16, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM, in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Interment will in at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Barnesville, MN.
