Tony Ralph Huck

March 4, 1942 — June 6, 2021

Tony “Anton” Huck passed away on June 6, 2021, unexpectedly while he was fishing in Port Washington, Wisconsin, on Lake Michigan.  Tony was born March 4, 1942, to Philip and Elizabeth (Dukart) Huck on the family farm south of Belfield, North Dakota.

Tony grew up on the family farm until he married Anna Mary Stockert on October 27, 1962.  Tony and Anna had three girls, Shari, Toinette (Toni), and Dawn.  They moved from Dickinson, ND, to Buffalo, ND, for a short stint and eventually moved to Moorhead, MN, where they raised their three girls.  Tony and Anna also lived in Detroit Lakes, MN, during the summer and Mesa, AZ, in the winter and eventually moved back to the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Although Tony worked at many places over the years, he primarily was at D&M Industries as the foreman in their production department.  In the early 80’s he started Northwest Blinds with his business partner and often referred to himself as the “Blind Man”.  Tony was also a handyman and willing to help anyone that needed a helping hand.  He often tried to teach his girls the tricks of the trade.

Tony loved to fish and would take friends and family with him from ages 4 to 90 and show them how to catch and clean the fish.  He could be heard talking about how many he caught and how fast he could clean them.  He was known for having friends and family over for his famous fish fries.  Family and Friends were everything to him and he would always go the extra mile to make it to someone’s wedding, birthday, and anniversary celebrations. Often dancing the night away with Anna and his daughters on the dance floor.  He loved spending time with his grandkids and spoiling them in any way he could.

Tony is survived by his wife Anna; daughter’s, Shari (Bret) Borth of Chanhassen, MN, Toni (Rich) Maras of Fargo, ND, Dawn (Bryon) Malzer of Montgomery, TX; grandchildren, Paige (Tommy) Zawicki, Maci Borth, and Zachary Malzer; siblings, Rose (Bede) Frank, Christ (Mary Jane) Huck, Margie (Lowell) Lindbo, Elizabeth “Betty” (Philip) Knaup, Irene (Ted) Naumann, Peter (Dorothy) Huck; in-laws, Dorothy Huck and Hilda Huck; in-laws, Marian Decker; Sister Eleanor Stockert, Tony (Angie) Stockert, and Connie Stockert; stepbrother, Tom (Linda) Sitter; step-in-law, Donna Sitter; and several nieces and nephews.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Elizabeth; stepmom, Anna Huck; father and mother-in-law, George and Pauline Stockert; brothers, Philip Huck, Ludwig “Louie” Huck, and James Huck; stepbrothers, James Sitter and Philip Sitter; sister-in-law, Rose Huck; brothers-in-law, Al Stockert and Ted Decker; and step-in-law, Rosalie Sitter.
