Truman Nelson

Truman Nelson, 92, of Glyndon, MN, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Farmstead Care in Moorhead under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Truman was born November 13, 1929, to Earl and Anna (Hanson) Nelson. He grew up in Mayville, ND, where he graduated from high school. Following high school, Truman farmed with family until moving to Glyndon in 1958. Over the years, he enjoyed farming, spending time outdoors and golfing when he had the chance. His passion was always farming, and he took pride in it.

Truman is survived by his sons, Kevin (Nancy) Nelson, Brad (Dawn) Nelson; grandchildren, Erica (Steve) Muse, Tyler (Talia) Nelson, Kristi (Ryan) Fabre, Kelli (Cody) Griffin, Kalynn Nelson; great grandchildren, Avery and Olivia Muse, Cole, Dylan and Logan Nelson, Mia and Nolan Fabre, Vivian Lerud, and Cecilia and Clay Griffin; brothers, Alfred (Nora) Nelson, Earl Jr. (Wilma) Nelson, Wayne (Sylvia) Nelson; sister, Clarice DePaolis; and brother-in-law, DeWayne Peterson.

He was preceded in death by son, Steven; sister, Arlene Peterson; brother, Norman Nelson; sister-in-law, Gladys Nelson and brother-in-law, Lou DePaolis.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at Riverside Cemetery in Glyndon, MN.
