Verna Dahlen

Verna was born March 5, 1917, in Osakis, MN, to Gust and Dena Sweno Berger. In 1919 the family moved to Dalton. Verna married Sigurd Dahlen on May 10, 1946. He died in 1986. Verna later moved to Moorhead in 1997 where she had resided since.Verna is survived by three grandchildren, Matthew Halverson, Marcus Halverson and Dena Halverson; son-in-law, Galen Bares; and two great-grandchildren, Aliya and Hurley, all of Moorhead. She is also survived by one sister, Ida Frick of Forestville, MD, and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by husband, Sigurd; daughter, Diane Bares; son-in-law, Jerry Halverson; and siblings, Harry Berger, Otis Berger, Minnie Thormodson, Ruby Sonmor, Emma Torgerson and Della Berger.
