Obituary

Warren M. Moore, 85 of Moorhead, MN passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Sanford Hospice House, Fargo, ND.

Warren Michael Moore was born on July 18, 1940, in Glyndon, MN to Douglas and Edna (Benshoof) Moore. He grew up in Glyndon and spent his school age years hauling garbage to the dump, delivering papers, mowing lawns, and also worked for Kost Brothers loading trucks.

He met Diane Abrahamson in 1959 and followed her to Newport, MN. Warren later moved to South St. Paul and took a job with Armours. Warren and Diane were married on June 9, 1962, in Newport.

In 1964 they moved back to Glyndon and Warren started hauling boats for Chandler out of Illinois, and later Silverline. He then went to work for Transport Inc where he spent 15 years. In 1978 Warren became an owner/operator. He spent time transporting anhydrous before leasing to Gabor Trucking out of Detroit Lakes where he pulled a flat bed, and later with Anderson Trucking out of St. Cloud.

In 1997, Warren suffered a heart attack and could no longer drive commercially. He then joined his brother in the construction field and spent time building decks and doing various remodeling projects. Warren later went out on his own doing the same type of work. He was blessed with knowledge on so many things, from construction to auto mechanical work, he could fix about anything. If there was a manual, he’d read it and take care of it himself. Warren never wanted to punch in and out. He enjoyed adventure and seeing so many parts of the country from coast to coast and even many areas throughout Canada.

Warren also enjoyed carpentry, hunting and fishing, camping, snowmobiling and anything else with a bit of adventure. He loved staying active and busy and was always up for a challenge.

Warren was in heaven’s waiting room for a while, but when the time came, it came fast.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Diane; brother, John (Joyce) Moore; sister, Claudia (Darell) Fjelstad; brother-in-law, Larry (Cheryl) Abrahamson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brother, Claude Moore; parents, Doug and Edna Moore; niece, Colleen Enlow; parents-in-law, Oliver and Idean Abrahamson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ollie (Sandy) Abrahamson and Tom (DeVonne) LeVasseur; nephews, Shawn Abrahamson and Glen LeVasseur.

The family of Warren greatly appreciates all the prayers and support during this difficult time and would like to extend a special ‘thank you’ to Cheri and Don Berland and Susan Little for all they have done during Warren’s illness.
