Wayne L. Curry

Wayne L. Curry, 67, of Hitterdal, MN, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021, in his home, with Jodi’s hand in his and her hand on his heart. He was very much at peace with what was about to happen. He fought a courageous battle with AML – Acute Myeloid Leukemia, which had no cure for Wayne.

Wayne was born in North Braddock, PA, on December 2, 1953, to Harry and Goldie (Gross) Curry. He grew up on the east coast and graduated from Du Pont High School in Charleston, West Virginia.

After high school, Wayne enlisted in the service which took him around the United States. He eventually settled in Washington for many years.

In 2007, Wayne met Jodi Schroeder. He worked for Fargo Automation until his retirement in 2018.

Wayne is survived by Jodi; step children, Matthew (Stephanie) Albert, Benjamin (Tami) Albert and Shelby (Andy) Lyons; sisters, Eileen (Michael) Perea, and Virginia “Ginny” Kincaid; brother, Robert (Shelby) Laney, two sisters he never met, and Caroline his daughter who is not findable, Jodi’s family, father, Richard (Dick) Schroeder, Curt Schroeder, Craig (Jodi) Schroeder and Julie (Al) Dykema, many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Buzz, and sister, Joyce; Irene Schroeder, and Patty Engebretson .

A celebration of life will be held at the Mainline in Downer on Thursday, November 4th from 4-8,  there will be a light lunch provided.
