Ava Bates

Ava Marcella Jean Bates received her Angel wings on April 22, 2018 at 9:55 pm. Ava was born on March 26, 2018 at 4:28 pm.

Ava was the daughter of Amber Bates and Phillip Pluskhat.

She is survived by four siblings, Christopher, Carter and Ceinna Bates and Samaura Pluskhat. Her grandparents Christine Bates of Lake Park, MN and Kevin Pluskhat of Casselton, ND. Her great grandparents Bernard and Rose Bates of Moorhead, MN. Her great great-grandmother Marcella Bates of Detroit Lakes, MN. Her uncle Nathan Bates, many aunts and uncles, cousins and extended family. Special friends Wendy and John Fudge, Dustin, Crystal and Josh.

Ava was preceded in death by great grandparents Sharon Peterson, Bernard and Thelma Hanson, Dennis Spieker, Grandfather, Thomas Spieker and many extended family members.

A special thanks to the Sanford NICU staff for all your love and care for Ava.

Ava was a little fighter.  She was her mother Amber’s little hero and best friend.  She is wild and free and will continue to move mountains.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM with a visitation beginning one hour prior to the service at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.
